Antique English Sarcophagus Shape Footstool / Ottoman c.1870
Special sarcophagus shaped footstool featuring:
Original floral textile covering which is worn and weathered but full of character.
Mahogany show wood.
Striped faille fabric on the body with a cross motif finished with a decorative braid.
Interior is as pretty as the outside with a floral paper trunk and fabric covered lid. ( All marked and weathered).
Shows lots of visible mending and stitching.
Dates c.1870, England.
Dimensions: 79cm w / 52cm d / 42cm h
Condition: As above, this is a worn and weathered piece and shows the traces of time. The seat could easily be re-upholstered for anyone who wants a cleaner finish.
