Large Antique Butchers Block on Fruitwood Base, Beautiful Patina dating c.1850
Rustic Belgian Butchers block on a fruitwood base featuring:
Beautiful colour and patina - worn nicely over the centuries. Dating c. 1850
Playful scalloped edging on the base with small punch-holes.
Sits on sturdy column reeded legs on bun feet.
Interesting handles added at a later date but in keeping with the distinctive style of this piece.
This will make a fantastic counter piece for a kitchen, cafe or shop-space.
Substantial Solid piece in hardy fruitwood.
Dimensions: 69cm Deep / 141cm wide / 85cm high
Condition: This piece is rustic in style as per images. This is completely in keeping with the style and age of this piece and adds to the value of this antique piece. Please see images of the top of the counter, their wood has dipped in the centre. This is still a solid piece and does not detract from use. There are also some signs of old woodworm. This has been treated and will not develop further.
